Collection: Self-Care, Advocate Care, & Collective Care

You hold safe spaces for survivors, advocates, families, and communities.  Caring for yourself and other advocates is crucial for your resilience.

Advocates absorb what most people never see — the call at 2 a.m., the hearing that goes sideways, the family that leaves and comes back, the funding that arrives late while the need does not.  The stories, the worries, the challenges, and opportunities are all part of what advocates and survivor-leaders carry with them wherever they go.

When we asked advocates what they needed most, the answer was clear: not more training to pass along to clients, but care for themselves and for one another.

This collection gathers self-care, advocate care, and collective care resources created by and for advocates, survivor-leaders, and violence prevention professionals. Small, returnable, made for the middle of a hard day — so relief is always within reach.
